About us

XEOS – Service center for the newest GE engines  PL
XEOS is a joint venture between GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik. The two leading aviation companies built a state-of-the-art aircraft engine service center in Środa Śląska, Southwestern Poland. XEOS opened for business
and inducted the first engine in April 2019. The new facility is overhauling GE engines operated by Lufthansa and other airlines as well as cargo operators.
At the mature state, around 600 skilled workers will be employed here.

Managing Directors
Stefan Schmuck
Is Managing Director of Operations of XEOS. He started in this role on November 14, 2016. Before he joined the XEOS team, he was the Managing Director and Plant Leader in GE Aviation Deutschland GmbH since early 2015. During his career he held various executive leadership positions at Lufthansa Technik AG as well as senior leadership positions at MTU Maintance and BMW Rolls Royce.
Thomas Böttger
Was appointed Managing Director of Business of XEOS on July 19, 2016, the company’s founding day. He joined XEOS team coming from Lufthansa Technik AG where he first started in April 2001 in the Aircraft Component Services division as Head of Customer Services and Product Sales. After few years in the company, he was promoted to be the Director of CFM 56 and V2500 Engine Product Lines in the Engine Services division. Prior to that he served in the German Air Force. He graduated from the Bundeswehr University Munich and the University of Hagen.
